El Artista Chileno Felipe Mujica exhibe desde el 20 de mayo en PAMM

Para esta exposición, el artista creará nuevas obras en colaboración con artesanos de la tribu Miccosukee del sur de Florida, quienes estuvieron entre los primeros habitantes de este territorio. En esta colaboración, Mujica ha investigado la abstracción geométrica y su historia, así como la exploración metafísica del mundo. Mientras estén dentro del espacio de la galería, los espectadores estarán rodeados por aproximadamente 12-15 cortinas con símbolos y patrones del mundo exterior, según la cosmovisión de Miccosukee. Se colocarán cortinas adicionales en las áreas exteriores del museo, que serán visibles desde la ventana de la galería. El espacio de exhibición también se utilizará como una instancia para que los artesanos de Miccosukee y el público se conecten a través de una programación que compartirá aspectos importantes de su cultura y tradiciones..

Felipe Mujica (1974) Artista visual chileno que vive y trabaja en Nueva York. Estudió la Licenciatura en Artes con mención en Grabado, en la Universidad Católica de Chile, Santiago.

Patrick Hamilton exhibe en Madrid

El reconocido artista chileno expone en el Centro de Cultura Contemporánea Conde Duque “El Invernadero Rojo”, una instalación de metacrilato rojo traslúcido con la que propone un juego visual con el que hacernos pensar. Vemos el invernadero desde afuera rojo como la sangre, como el semáforo, como la bandera que nos advierte del peligro y desde adentro vemos el mundo exterior también rojo, como el fuego, como el calentamiento global que quiere denunciar, como Ese efecto invernadero que no logramos frenar.

El artista dota a sus obras de un contenido ideológico, lo que él llama “pensamiento visual”. Intenta provocar al espectador y, siempre en consonancia con su discurso de crítica política y económica, utiliza materiales “pobres”, a veces desperdiciados, para facturar sus obras.

Cecilia Vicuña y Su Primera Exhibición Personal en Asia

El destacado artista chileno expone en la Galería Lehmann Maupin Seul, y Art Basel lo clasifica como un “must see”. Se titula “Quipu Girok (no grabado)” que combina palabras coreanas con el antiguo idioma andino.

El artista multidisciplinar exhibe pinturas, dibujos, instalaciones y videos. A través de su obra Vicuña apela a sus mayores preocupaciones en el mundo moderno: la destrucción ecológica, los derechos humanos y la homogeneización cultural.

Esta exposición está abierta hasta el 24 de abril y coincide con su inclusión en la Bienal de Gwangju 2021 que comienza el 1 de abril.

For this exhibition, the artist will create new works in collaboration with artisans from the Miccosukee tribe of South Florida, who were among the first inhabitants of this territory. In this collaboration, Mujica has investigated geometric abstraction and its history, as well as the metaphysical exploration of the world. While inside the gallery space, viewers will be surrounded by approximately 12-15 curtains with symbols and patterns of the outside world, according to the Miccosukee worldview. Additional curtains will be located in exterior areas of the museum, which will be visible from the gallery window. The exhibit space will also be used as an instance for Miccosukee artisans and the public to connect through programming that will share important aspects of their culture and traditions.

Patrick Hamilton exhibits in Madrid

The renowned Chilean artist exhibits at the Conde Duque Contemporary Culture Center “The Red Greenhouse“, a translucent red methacrylate installation with which he proposes a visual game with which to make us think. We see the greenhouse from the outside red like blood, like the traffic light, like the flag that warns us of danger and from the inside we see the outside world also red, like fire, like the global warming that it wants to denounce, like that greenhouse effect that does not we are able to stop.

The artist endows his works with ideological content, what he calls “visual thought”. He tries to provoke the viewer and, always consistent with his discourse of political and economic criticism, he uses “poor” materials, sometimes waste, to invoice his works.

Cecilia Vicuña and her first solo exhibition in Asia

The outstanding Chilean artist exhibits at the Lehmann Maupin Seul Gallery, and Art Basel classifies it as a “must see”. It is titled “Quipu Girok (Not Recored)” that combines Korean words with the ancient Andean language.

The multidisciplinary artist exhibits paintings, drawings, installations and videos. Through his work Vicuña appeals to his greatest concerns in the modern world: ecological destruction, human rights and cultural homogenization.

This exhibition is open until April 24 and coincides with its inclusion in the 2021 Gwangju Biennale which begins on April 1.
