⚡ Paula Valenzuela Antúnez As an artist, I have investigated the ways in which art influences our lives and how it can suggest other ways of looking at reality, not only in its poetic and spiritual ways of seeing reality, not only in its poetic and spiritual character but also as a reflective and critical approach to the world. ⚡Juan-Pablo Villacura was born in 1986 in Valdivia, Chile and is based in Münster, Germany. From 2012 to 2013 he studied at Universidad de Chile. He is holding a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Fine Arts. "Continuing the abstract tradition, Villacura's work is the expression of a human memory, far removed from reason and his biography. A collection of iconographies beyond symbol and meaning: spots, colour fields, shades, graffiti and arches; collages of irregular shapes in which only the circle represents a completed geometric form and is present as a spectrum in the majority of his paintings. The art show represents an analysis and a critical opinion to industrialization and the consequences of the landscape's productivity nowadays. It is an alert to search for a new way to relate to the environment. The equation that Tagle proposes is focused precisely on opening a dialogue that examines the production and distribution of resources since for neoliberalism there is no production without extraction, much less, a sustainable proposal Germán Tagle has focused on natural environments a reflective plastic on the deformations of the landscape. The particular link between a couple of pictorial landmarks and the explicit territorial diversity constitutes a key axis to dimension the peculiar confection of these images. Certainly, these pictorial frames touch the environment that has already alerted us to the precarious management and social, political, and economic irresponsibility that human beings have maintained.
These visualizations are the result of a tension between extractivism and the landscapes that the artist has re-produced throughout his career. An uninterrupted dialectic between his art production mode and the textures that are intertwined with a sustainable thought stresses the political background of the reading of the landscape in which we develop. ⚡ Catalina Tuca, Visual artist, educator, and independent curator. Born in Santiago, Chile. Lives and works in Brooklyn, NY. After earning a BFA and a degree in Art Education, Catalina developed her career in Santiago, showing her work in solo and group exhibitions, teaching Visual Arts and Film, and directing art spaces. In 2012 and 2014 she co-founded and co-directed Oficina Barroca Gallery and CANCHA_Santiago Residency Program. She participated in several art residencies, in Japan, Colombia, and the United States. In 2016 she moves to the US to pursue an MFA at Rutgers University from where she graduated in 2018. Following this experience she was a member at NEW INC, The New Museum Incubator Program NY, a resident at NARS Foundation NY, a fellow at The Interdisciplinary Art and Theory Program, NY, and at Collider Art Residency, Contemporary Calgary, CA, 2020. She is currently part of the team of Film and Storytelling Kids -online Film Workshops for kids- and a co-founder and director of CABO Residencias, Santiago Chile. __________

⚡ Martin Daiber (Chilean artist) is currently exhibiting at the BREACH gallery @breachmiami in the city of Miami. "Now Now" is an exhibition curated by artist Ed Broner, bringing together 26 artists of various nationalities. It is an exhibition focused on pictorial practice. Martin works from the imagination - I stand in front of nowhere and the fight begins to beat the void. It is an intuitive path, of connecting with the deep self and letting it express itself avoiding the obstacles of the ego (among others). The practice is permanent, insistent and closely related to the material. It is then that the forms arise, the colors are allied and the image is specified. Ideas and decisions intersect, are corrupted, and mutilated to reach a common end, one that I sense and do not know. Rodolfo Edwards ( Lives and works in NYC ) My work is based in the geopolitical contemporary problematic of the urbanist scene and their social impact in their communities and the way we approach to the space and their different ways to be measured. My investigation as an artist an architect is to show the impacts of today’s political interest in how big developers are destroying the quality of life of the big cities, and how the older heritage is disappearing from this new economy capitalism that with no sense are not measuring the consequence for the future of our urban areas. and the social movement of gentrification is getting empowered, displacing people to the suburbs and creating a division in the social environment. The artworks are made from images that I got from different medias and personal trips and art residences. Where I have been looking for this problematic of the growing urban cities no considering the quality of life and the social impacts in their communities. Where I have been affected by the displacing and the economical interest of the developing economical interest. Cities like New York, Shanghai, Beijing, Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, I have been recollecting images to start a representation of how we see our urban environment in the future. Using the photography of massive construction and extensive urban landscape, without respecting the social space and the quality of life. Also, the graphics of lines and the geometric view as an architect to understand the relation between space and constructions. _________

Sebastián Gil Muñoz (1984) lives and works in the city of Valparaíso, Chile. His work is developed through research proposals and artistic production, linked to the context, addressing the historical, social, and particular dimension of it. Loreto Buttazzoni
𝗙𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗺, Biennale Internazionale Donna, BID, 2021, Trieste, Italy. The flowers I brought to the Biennial entitled After the storm, are part of a series that was shown in 2020 in Bogotá and will soon travel to Medellín. This last work picks up the idea of weaving patterns but from nature since that silent force is still alive and seems to rest when humans stop interfering with nature.
The work depicts a cascade of flowers made out of crochet vitrified in porcelain and then painted by hand with pigment. _____

✨ LOEWE FOUNDATION | PRESENTING THE 2021 CRAFT PRIZE WINNER. Since its establishment in 2016, the LOEWE FOUNDATION Craft Prize has continued its dedication to showcase and celebrate new artistic voices, announcing its fourth contest winner alongside the contest’s special mentions. Hand selected by leading figures in the world of design, architecture, journalism, criticism and museum curatorship, the finalists were chosen from over 2,500 submissions from artists representing more than 100 countries. David Corvalan, was selected among 30 finalists worldwide, by the LOEWE FOUNDATION. The fourth edition of the contest has been marked by the pandemic. The award ceremony received the situation held in 2020 in Paris, but its leaders decided to postpone it until it began to normalize. Finally, this year it has not been possible to organize an exhibition with the 30 finalists, although the formula chosen by the Loewe Foundation has something of a hybrid: the public can virtually visit, through a web page, a virtual reconstruction of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs de Paris in which the selected works appear. Desértico II (2019), a geomorphological sculpture of copper wire and epoxy resin is a piece that talks about the extractive industries that have wreaked havoc in the Atacama Desert. PROJECT GALLERY JULY 10—OCTOBER 2, 2021 Mujica will be hanging a selection of his signature Cortinas (curtains) in response to the project in the main gallery by @alcaidericardo. Felipe Mujica will present several works of his ongoing series Curtains (begun in 2006). These pieces are made of different fabrics or textile procedures and are often exhibited hanging in different points of the exhibition space, creating a sort of new, soft architecture in the gallery. As Alcaide´s Horizon with its colored slabs, Mujica´s Curtains transform the spatial scene. Change is constant as the curtains can rotate when they interact with currents of air or with the movement of passing-by spectators. The Javelin Project Un ritual-performance de la artista María Verónica San Martín en colaboración con el coreógrafo Jose Vidal.
Medio: Performance/instalación de tres pantallas de duración de 30 minutos.
The Javelin Project consiste en un ritual-performance de 30 minutos que explora los conceptos de inmigración, resistencia y libertad desde la historia de la lanza ancestral hasta la jabalina profesional contemporánea. Inspirado en el lanzamiento de la jabalina de la antigua Grecia, el proyecto busca reflexionar sobre el poder y el patriarcado a través de una coreografía que transita por imágenes que van desde las primeras culturas aborígenes hasta el sistema capitalista que habitamos. Sobre un paisaje vasto en tonalidades terrestres, la composición musical y arquitectónica nos invita a pensar en un viaje constante y continuo, intercalando elementos, espacios y percepciones como el viento, las olas, la sobrevivencia, el nomadismo, la escritura, la búsqueda, la traslación, el aislamiento, el confinamiento y la colectividad. La coreografía presenta temporalidades aleatorias y cambios de equilibrios, siguiendo un recorrido que busca un espacio cosmológico infinito. La jabalina gravita en el aire, abriendo nuevas posibilidades de narrativas en su caída hacia la tierra. Coreografía: Jose Vidal.
