The launching of the Chilean contemporary art platform, VitrinaLab was held at the Ofizzina building in Coral Gables, Miami on May 9th 2019. It was the opening of the first exhibition of the platform in which 15 Chilean artists participated.
“Group Show Contemporary Chilean Art”, was the name of the first exhibition managed by the Chilean contemporary art platform in Miami, VitrinaLab. Its focus is on the promotion, visualization and professionalization of Chilean visual artists in Miami.
The exhibition summoned 15 well known Chilean artists born in the 70s and 80s, based either in Miami, New York or Santiago to show one or two works of art. The objective was to establish the first contact between the art dealers and the local public with what is going and being created in the Chilean visual arts market nowadays.
Three hundred people interested in the Chilean artistic scene attended the opening. This event was possible thanks to the Chilean companies based in Miami that joined together to help managing the exhibition in different ways.
The event was sponsored by eleven companies led by Chilean partners or executives: Black Salmon, TSG Group, Leading Edge, Morgan Stanley, Brandon Brokers, Agunsa, Megacenter, Sabores Chilenos, Pamelas Restaurant, the vineyards Valdivieso and Toro de Piedra (through ProChile) and the design by Aga Lisowska, photography by Beatriz Lagos and Jorge Ascui in video production.
